Hewson played most of the instruments himself, with \u003cstrong\u003eBarry Da Souza\u003c\/strong\u003e on drums and wifey \u003cstrong\u003eLiz Hewson\u003c\/strong\u003e providing the sugary vocals. Hewson \u0026amp; co’s vivid imagination is on full display on their 3rd LP \u003cem\u003eGoing Up\u003c\/em\u003e, teleporting the group out of rainy England and into the favelas of Brasil, chic discoteques of uptown Manhattan and the far reaches of space. The album gets straight to the point with “Messages From The Stars,” a perfect boogie track in every possible way (real recognize real: it was \u003ca rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.sbs\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Dam-Funk\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDam-Funk\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e who first hipped us to this absolute scorcher of a track way back in 2008, on his first-ever \u003ca rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.sbs\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Stones+Throw\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eStones Throw\u003c\/a\u003e mix). “Two Bodies” is the other slapper here, but don’t sleep on the sweeter cuts: “Perfumed Garden,” “Winter Love” and “Tears \u0026amp; Rain.” “Roll Me Down To Rio” and “Sam The Samba Man” puts a breezy bossa spin on Hewson’s cosmic boogie sound.
