Pee-wee’s Big Adventure was the directorial debut of Tim Burton, and the beginning of a lengthy collaboration with Oingo Boingo’s Danny Elfman. The score is quirky and retro, evocative of old-school silent film scores. This LP also includes a selection of Elfman’s musical cues from the Rodney Dangerfield vehicle Back To School. Please note that the music is not the exact version from the films, but a re-recording by the London Philharmonic Orchestra done in 1986.

opaque red vinyl pressing

limited edition

music label: Varese Sarabande 2019

reviewed by ONLY A LAD 06/2019
.
https://www.turntablelab.sbs/products/danny-elfman-pee-wees-big-adventure-back-to-school-soundtracks-vinyl-lp
